Social Prescribing Day, Thursday 14th March

To celebrate and showcase “National Social Prescribing Day 2024” Winchester City PCN Social Prescribers will be spending the day in Winchester City Centre and have a stall in the Market.  Social Prescribers can help connect people in the community for practical and  emotional support.  They encourage engagement in physical activity, creativity, enjoyment of nature and meet each individuals needs.  Our presence at the Market is to highlight and educate the patients of Winchester what these incredible individuals are able to do.

If you wish to see a GP when your surgery is closed, don’t forget you can use the Out of Hours service — NHS 111. Alternatively, you can book an appointment in advance or on the day by calling your normal GP receptionist and requesting an appointment at one of our hubs.
